About AI Cost Hub

Why this site exists

AI pricing is published in units nobody budgets in. Vendors quote dollars per million tokens; teams need to know what a feature costs per month at a realistic request volume. Translating one into the other takes an hour with a spreadsheet, and most people skip it and find out later.

AI Cost Hub does that translation. Every calculator here takes the inputs you actually know — requests per day, average prompt length, which model — and returns a monthly figure you can put in a budget.

Who runs it

AI Cost Hub is an independent project, not a vendor property and not backed by any model provider. Nobody pays to be included, ranked favourably, or left out of a comparison. If a cheaper model wins on a given workload, the calculator says so.

Where the numbers come from

Every rate used in a calculator is taken from the provider's own public pricing page — OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral, Cohere and the rest — and carries the date it was last checked. We do not use leaked rates, negotiated enterprise discounts, or figures quoted second-hand in blog posts.

AI pricing moves faster than almost any other software category. A figure that was right in March can be wrong by June, which is why our methodology page explains how often we re-check and what to do when you find a stale rate.

What these calculators are not

They are estimates, not quotes. A calculator cannot know your cache hit rate, your retry behaviour, how much context you re-send, or how your traffic spikes. Treat the output as a planning figure with room around it, and validate against a real bill before committing to a budget or an architecture.

How the site is funded

By advertising. Ads pay for hosting and the time spent keeping rates current, which is why every calculator and guide stays free with no account required. Advertising has no influence on which providers appear, how they are ranked, or what the calculators return.

Corrections

If a rate is out of date or a calculation looks wrong, tell us — include the model and the page, and we will check it against the provider's pricing page and fix it. Corrections to figures are made directly on the page, and the check date is updated when they are.
